Abstract:Space laser communication is a newly developed technology, which got breakthroughs in recent years after long time exploration. With the features of high transmitting rate, wide available frequency width, high secrecy, high reliability, compact terminal dimension, low weight,and low power consumption, it is very suitable for high ratio data transmission between satellite and satellite, satellite and airplane, also the near space and so on. Based on the prospect for the space laser communication, various countries attach great importance to its research. This report emphatically introduces the development status of space laser communication, and systemically analyses the key technologies, finally views the future trend of development.

About speaker:JIANG HUILIN, male, born in 1945, professor, PH.D, and Doctor Supervisor, is the former president of Changchun University of Science and Technology. Now he is the Chief Academic Committee of Changchun University of Science and Technology, the Chief of the Laboratory of Air-to-Ground Laser Communication Technology--the Major National Defence Discipline of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for  National Defence, the Chief of the Major Photoelectric Observation and Control & Optical Information Communication Technology Laboratory sponsored by State Educational Department. Additionally, he is endowed by State Educational Department and State Council the title “the Distinguished PH.D with Significant Contribution for China”. As a senior expert and special class “Model Worker”of Jinlin Province, and now he is directly leaded by the Central Government of China. His major academic research includes optical system design, space laser communication technology, medical optical instruments, photoelectric simulation technology, photoelectric detecting technology and etc. He presided over twenty reseach projects sponsored by State and Province, among which 1 won the first prize of State Science and Technology Advancement Award, 4 won the first prize of Provincial Science and Technology Advancement Award, 6 won the second prize and 4 won the third prize. He applied 9 patents and obtained 3 new functional patents. He published 2 academic works and more than 150 papers, among which more than 80s are indexed by the four major international retrieval systems. At present, he is presiding over 6 projects sponsored by 863, National Natural Science Foundation, the General Armament Department, the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence, etc. His major current academic jobs includes: the Vice Chief of China Ordnance Society, the Executive Director of China Optics Society, the Vice Chief of National Weaponary Major Teaching Instructing Committee, the member of Photoelectric fire control Major of the General Armament, the member of the Electronic Information Department 973 Expert Committee of the General Armament, the consultant of Aerospace Expert Committee of National Advanced Technology 863, the Vice Chief of Academic Committee of Applied Optics State Key Laboratory, and the Vice Chief Academic Committee of the Major High Efficient Semiconductor Laboratory of Science and Technology for National Defence.
