    Biography:
    Prof.Greg Sun has received his B.S. in Microelectronics from Beijing University in 1984, M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University in 1988, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1993. Since then, he joined the faculty at the University of Massachusetts Boston where he holds a joint appointment in the Department of Physics and the Engineering Program. Currently, he is a full professor in Physics and a director of the Engineering Program. His research efforts have been in the general area of semiconductor optoelectronics and plasmonics with a focus on the electrical and optical properties of semiconductor heterostructures, quantum wells and quantum dots. He has more than 50 publications in the forms of journal articles and book chapters. He is the recipient of several fellowships from American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
