The second China-Japan Joint Workshop on GaN-based Materials and Devices, sponsored by the Institute of Semiconductors, CAS, was held at Beijing, on September 25, 2009.

　　The attendees come from Nagoya Institute of Technology (Japan), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Sun Yat-Sen University (China), Institute of Semiconductors, CAS, etc. Professor Chen Hongda, Deputy Director of the Institute of Semiconductors, CAS, and Professor Takashi Egawa from Nagoya Institute of Technology made a warm speech.
