The Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IOS, CAS) and Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) signed an agreement on May 11, 2011 to strengthen cooperation in S&T research and talents exchange.
CAS vice president YIN Hejun and Maxime Verhagen, deputy prime minister of Netherlands attended the agreement ceremony. It attracts about 50 attendees from government, corporations and R&D institutions.
Both sides also held an inauguration ceremony for their co-built Beijing R&D center where the research focus is semiconductor lighting.
TU Delft is the largest and oldest Dutch public technical university, located in Delft, Netherlands.
