Title: High performance of perovskite solar cells: From cell to module

Abstract: In recent years, Perovskite solar cell (PSC) has undergone unprecedented development due to its excellent photovoltaic performance and simple solution processing method. Here I will introduce our main achievements in this field and our work focus on inverted PSC devices with working area over one centimetre square. Firstly, the morphology and uniformity of perovskite layer and charge extraction layers were finely controlled to improve the reproducibility of device performance. The charge extraction layers with high conductivity, such as NiO and TiO2 heavily doped with Mg2+, Li+ and Nb5+, were used to reduce pinholes of the film and increase the long-term stability of device. Secondly, a perovskite-fullerene graded heterojunction (GHJ) were developed, which was featured with a gradient distribution of electron accepting material in the light absorption perovskite layer. By employing this strategy, we have achieved certified efficiency exceeding 19.2% based on a cell with an aperture area greater than one centimetre square.Furthermore, the cost of PSCs module was simulated. Efficiency and long-term stability were found to be key factors that affect the cost of PSCs modules The costs of modules were found to be only one third of that of commercial silicon solar cells.3
